Hello and welcome to The Warm Project

The Warm Project is a creative project based in Athens, Greece that explores the male nude and its relationship to the real three dimensional space around it. The aim of the project is to capture the form and volume of the nude body and the space it occupies and reproduce them using photography, stereoscopic (3D) photography, manipulated printed images and sculptures.

The Warm Project is primarily an art project. However the imagery produced for this project is of a nude nature that can sometimes be very explicit. The initial photographic material used for TWP’s work, is produced here in Athens at TWP’s photographic studio of young - mostly Greek guys - aged 18 to 28, who don’t mind being photographed in the nude and it is to that visual material that paid members have access.

Photography remains the main tool I enjoy using when capturing the human variety I see all around me. I find video to be especially distracting because it rarely focuses on the subject but the action and never gives the viewer enough time to explore. However in a fast-moving world video is especially popular and I have no option but to embrace it. Any video work whenever available on the website used to be short and fragmented, put together as a by-product of my photographic work.

However I am fast changing that. I am now using new cameras and new lights when shooting video and I have more coming up, too. I am building a white cyclorama where I will be able to shoot both photo and video work without fearing my composition might include parts of the studio that lie outside my paper background (a cyclorama is fantastic especially for video because it creates a seamless white background with no corners), and a bedroom studio set (that will also be used as an AirBnb) for a more realistic setup when needed. All of that is coming up soon.

Please note that this website is best viewed on an ipad or similar tablet in portrait mode. Very nice in bed, too.
